Vintage Retirement Party

I absolutely love party planning!  Most of them are birthdays, weddings or anniversaries but I recently got to plan a retirement party for a coworker. We work at an aerospace lighting company and she is a pilot so, of course, it had to be a vintage travel theme.

Guests signed the airplane photo and wrote a personal message in the "passport" that I created.  There were chocolate globe candies in the suitcases for everyone to take home.

Simple table settings before the guests arrived.  We made wooden boxes out of recycled wood and put small milk bottles in them.  Then we filled the bottles with roses.  I also found some confetti that had all fifty states.

Drink Station with vintage biplane and globe.

Steamer trunk to hold cold beverages and bottled water.

And no party is complete without the spread!
